Psychotherapy
“Comparison is the thief of joy.” - Theodore Roosevelt
Science tells us we are all born with what is called a negativity bias. This means that when we struggle, we are neurobiologically wired to make sense of our struggle by creating a negative story around it. This keeps us feeling defeated, broken and not good enough. Through our work together, I will help you learn the skills and tools to create a more constructive narrative for yourself. This will allow you to stay centered and open-minded, so that you can live an authentic life with strength, resilience, and positivity. My therapeutic approach is eclectic in that I pull from a number of different theoretical orientations including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and emotionally focused therapy.
